Madison Polanco
Madison is a freshman at Virginia Commonwealth University studying Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science (HPEX) with a concentration in Health Science. In addition, she is pursuing the Pre-Medicine and Spanish for Health Sciences minors. She is a part of the VCU P.A.T.H.S Acceleration Pre-Health Program, and is highly involved in community service through the Help the Unhoused student organization, Remote Area Medical organization, and the Red Cross club. After earning her undergraduate degree, she plans to attend medical school and become a doctor that provides primarily to people in underserved, rural communities with little access to healthcare. Her family's experiences as immigrants from the Caribbean have inspired her long-term goal: to make healthcare accessible in underserved Black and Latino communities!
